SAM's story
Sam is a 1-1/2-year-old, intact male, tan Welsh Corgi (Cardigan) mix that weighs approximately 45 pounds. He was surrendered by his former owners on 10/09/18 because he has a little too much energy for the toddlers in the home.
Sam has been an outdoor dog all his life, but would very much love to become an indoor/outdoor dog! He doesn''t have the fur to withstand the Utah winters. He loves to run in the yard and play with toys/fetch. He''s just a happy and friendly ball of fun! He''s very sweet and likes to occasionally jump up on people when he''s happy to see them, which may not be the best thing for smaller children, as he may knock them down by accident.
When Sam first starts out walking on the leash, he pulls, but then settles down and does well. He will take food gently from your hand. He has never lived with any other pets. If you have a dog and are interested in adopting Sam, bring them to the shelter with you for a meet and greet.
Sam''s $85 adoption fee includes a $40 voucher to go toward his neuter, which, by law, MUST be done within 30 days of adoption, his microchip, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, leash, collar and goody bag!
