My story
Pumpkin_A201336Pumpkin is an approximate 5-year-old, intact male, tricolor Heeler that weighs 35 pounds. He arrived at the shelter as a stray on 01/24/20. Pumpkin is a happy-go-lucky fellow that enjoys going for walks and hanging out with people. He does not enjoy chickens or small animals, so a home without them would be best for him. He is friendly toward dogs his size and if you have another dog and are interested in adopting Pumpkin, bring them to the shelter with you and our staff will help you with a meet and greet. Pumpkin has a medium to high energy level and would be best suited for an active person or family with older, respectful children. He has a minor skin tag n his right eye that doesn`t seem to bother him and a cracked right lower canine tooth. The skin tag can be easily taken care of during his neuter surgery. NOTE: If you are unfamiliar with the Heeler breed and are considering adopting Pumpkin, PLEASE do your research. They are a wonderful dog, but not a dog for everyone. They are known to nip at smaller children`s heels in an effort to keep them together, which is what they were bred to do for livestock. Pumpkin`s $89 adoption fee includes a $40 voucher to go toward his neuter, which, by law, MUST be done within 30 days of adoption, his microchip, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine, leash, collar and goody bag!Weber County Animal Services1373 North 750 WestOgden, Utah 84404Shelter Hours: 10AM to 6PMAdoption Hours: 10AM to 5:30PMMonday to FridayOpen first Saturday of month from 10AM to 3PMClosed all other weekends and major holidays.
