MAX's story
Max is a 3-year-old, neutered male, black and tan Rottweiler mix that weighs 78 pounds. He was surrendered by his former owner along with his friend, Marley, on 08/24/18 because they could no longer care for them. Max and Marley are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together.
Max is a super-friendly and sweet boy! He has a medium energy level and loves to go for walks and if there is a tennis ball around, he''ll pick it up and carry it around in his mouth. He is house trained and has used a crate in the past. He walks well on the leash, takes food gently from your hand and knows the sit, stay and shake commands. Max''s former owner said that he and Marley haven''t been around many other dogs or cats in the past, but they seem friendly towards them here at the shelter.
Max loves attention and loves to have his back scratched and shoulders rubbed. Once you get into a rhythm of petting him, he wants to be a lap dog! Max has a great temperament and he and Marley would make excellent companions for any semi-active person or family with respectful children over age 6.
Marley & Max''s combined adoption fee is $100, which includes their microchips, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccines, leash, collar and goody bag!
